Valley-Ridge Chapter MOAA
President’s Message
January 2016

I invite you, as a fellow officer or the spouse of a deceased officer, to come as a guest to one of our meetings.  This would be at no financial cost or obligation, and would allow you to see first-hand what we are all about.  Give me a phone call (number below) the week prior to a meeting and I will be happy to make a meal reservation for you.

Our members meet regularly to enjoy a superb luncheon at Manzanita Place (the Elks Lodge) and the camaraderie of fellow officers and their spouses.  We enjoy a good program, highlighting speakers from community organizations or veterans (including some of our own members) discussing their military service and participation in significant events/operations. Although primarily a social group, we financially support youth members of Civil Air Patrol Squadron 95, and contribute to the Salvation Army’s local holiday food and toy drives.

The Valley-Ridge Chapter (65 members) is one of over 400 chapters around the United States, and includes officers from six of the uniform services as well as widows or widowers of deceased members.  Please take a moment and meet our Board of Directors, review our Activities, and choose a date on which you may join us.  We look forward to meeting you.

The Valley-Ridge Chapter is part of a national organization, the Military Association of America (MOAA), which with 380,000 members is the largest military officer association.  This non-profit, nonpartisan organization headquartered in Washington D.C. has a strong voice with Congress regarding important military legislation and offers valuable services to its members in the area of finance, health, careers, pay, benefits, and more.

Warm regards,
